What registration does, and why it exists
Channel conflict kills partner programmes quietly. A partner does the work of opening an account, and then a second partner — or the vendor's own team — turns up at the end and closes it on price. After that happens once, nobody invests in discovery again.
Registration is the mechanism that stops it. When you register an opportunity and it's approved, Mirket doesn't compete with you for it, and doesn't approve a second registration for the same customer and scope. The registered-deal terms in your agreement apply to the opportunity, and our presales team is yours for the proof of concept. The protection is for a defined period, and it can be extended if the customer's timeline moves — as long as you tell us before it ends.
The exact protection period, pricing and any registered-deal incentives are in your partner agreement, not on this page. What's here is how the process works and what qualifies.
What qualifies
| Opportunity | Why | |
|---|---|---|
| ✓ | A named end customer | A specific organisation, not a segment or a territory. |
| ✓ | An identified need | Which modules, roughly how many users, on-premise or SaaS — enough that the opportunity is real rather than a list. |
| ✓ | Partner-sourced or partner-led | You found it, or you're the one driving it. That's what registration exists to protect. |
| ✓ | New to Mirket | The customer isn't already running the platform through another partner for the same scope. |
| — | An opportunity another partner has already registered | The first valid registration for a customer and scope holds. We'll tell you if that's the case rather than leave you working blind. |
| — | A renewal you didn't originate | Renewals stay with the partner who closed the original deal, unless the customer asks to change. |
| — | A list of prospects | Registration is per opportunity. Register the ones you're actually working. |
How it works
- 1
Submit
The form below — customer, scope, stage, and who else is in the account. Five minutes if you know the deal.
- 2
Review
The partner team checks it against existing registrations and current customers. You hear back either way, with a reason if it's declined.
- 3
Approved
The opportunity is protected for you for the period in your partner agreement, at the registered-deal terms set out there.
- 4
We work it with you
Presales engineers for the proof of concept, positioning against whoever else is in the account, and pricing support for the proposal.
- 5
Close, or extend
If the customer's timeline moves, tell us before the protection period ends and we'll look at extending it. Silence is the only thing that lets a registration lapse.
When two partners register the same customer
It happens, and the rule is simple so that it's predictable: the first valid registration holds. Valid means the opportunity met the criteria above and the partner was genuinely working it. If the two registrations are for different scopes at the same customer — one for privileged access, one for MFA — both can stand.
Where it's unclear, the partner team asks both sides what they've actually done in the account and decides on that, not on who's larger. You'll get the decision in writing.
